The show that helped launched the career of Sam Milby, Gerald Anderson & Kim Chui, is back once again.

PBB Auditions begin today, February 27, at the PDA Concert Hall [near the PBB house and the ABS-CBN building] between 9 am & 3 pm. As of 9:40AM lines have not only formed in front of the PBB house, it has snaked around the Tomas Morato Area and other streets nearby causing heavy traffic around the ABS-CBN compound.

Sine Novela: Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?

StarStruck loveteam Aljur Abrenica & Kris Bernal will topbill GMA-7’s new series “Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?”

“Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?” is the upcoming Sine Novela, it’s the tv remake of the 1984 film of the same title starring Sharon Cuneta & Gabby Concepcion.

Kris Bernal & Aljur Abrenica’s love team started in the teen show Boys Nxt Door. It continued in the primetime series Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan, Dyesebel & Luna Mystika. They are also one of the loveteam in the teen flick “Loving You.”

Willi Revillame's 70M Yacht on SNN

One of the featured segment in the pilot episode of Showbiz News Ngayon Monday night was Willie Revillame’s 70 million pesos luxury yacht.

The Wowowee host toured Kris Aquino inside his 94-footer yacht named M/Y Wow Cruiser. Willie Revillame bought the yacht 6 months ago costing between P50 million to P70 million.

The M/Y Wow Cruiser has 4 rooms in the lower deck including a master’s bedroom, elegant comfort room and shower room and a living room complete with entertainment amenities. Kris Aquino was highly impressed on every part of the yacht that she saw, most specially when she learned that the yacht runs in auto-pilot.

Apparently, there is a part 2 of the exclusive SNN interview wherein Kris Aquino asked Willie if he’s already worth P1 billion pesos and if he is indeed the highest-paid entertainer in the country.

Ruffa & Ai - ABS-CBN

The timeslot of Boy and Kris will now be occupied by a new show, that will be hosted by Comedy Concert Queen, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Beauty Queen, Ruffa Gutierrez.

This was announced by Deo Endrinal. “We have a new morning show starting February 16 and it’s called “Ruffa & Ai” hosted by Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez and, of course, the Comedy Concert Queen and Box Office Queen Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas,” Deo Endrinal said.

This new daily morning talk show is set to bring beauty & laughs to it's audience starting February 16, 2009 Monday. Ruffa and Ai will go up against GMA-7's Sis that is airing since 2001.

Boy & Kris ended it's run with a 8.5% ratings versus 6.9% of SiS according to a recent TNS National Ratings.

Wow Mali is Back

Wow Mali, the the longest-running, multi-awarded & top-rated gag show in the Philippines aired over ABC-5 & hosted by Joey De Leon, is now back on TV5!

After the reformat of ABC5 to TV5, Wow Mali! came back as Lokomoko, which is almost the same as Wow Mali but with School Gags. It is hosted by Alex Gonzaga, Randolf Stamatelaky & Kim Gantioqui.

But now, Wow Mali! is back starting February 22, 2009, watch it every Sunday 6:00 - 7:00 PM only on TV5! Shake Mo, TV Mo!

Kristine Hermosa and Diether Ocampo Marriage Declared Annuled

Kristine Hermosa’s marriage in 2004 to Diether Ocampo has been declared null and void by the Court of Appeals (CA).

It can be recalled that Kristine initially filed the annulment of her marriage to Diether on June 21, 2005. She argued that a marriage certificate was not given during the marriage ceremony that was solemnized by Mayor Antonio Esquivel on September 21, 2004 in Jaen, Nueva Ecija.

In the nine-page decision written by CA Second Division Associate Justice Sesinando Villalon, it was explained that the 25-year-old actress gave sufficient documentary and testimonial evidence to prove that a marriage certificate was not issued.

The CA added that the absence of the primary requisites is a vital element to prove the marriage between two persons. It also clarified that the one year and one month marriage of Diether and Kristine has been invalid ever since.

A part of the decision read: "The absence of any of the essential or formal requisites shall render the marriage void ab initio. It is a Hornbook doctrine that findings of the facts of trial courts are entitled to great weight on appeal and should not be disturbed except for strong and valid reasons."

Meanwhile, the appellate court also junked the request of the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) to reverse the decision of the Makati City Regional Trial Branch 136 on March 31, 2006, which also declared the union of the two Kapamilya actors null and void.

Has Ruffa Gutierrez Found a New Love in John Faizad?

Since she broke up with Yilmaz Bektas, Ruffa Gutierrez hasn’t been seen (that is, caught on camera) with a most probable date — until three weeks ago, that is.

According to Funfare’s Agent Olca, Ruffa was introduced by a mutual friend to a dashing 6’2" Polish-Persian-American named John Faizad who got so smitten with Ruffa that he followed her to L.A. John, 30, is said to be working in an entertainment- consulting firm. Like Ruffa, he just got out of a seven-year committed relationship and is, well, searching. During a dinner with friends at Sky Car on Sunset Boulevard in L.A., John was “over-protective” toward Ruffa.

But in an interview with Funfare yesterday for her and Ai-Ai delas Alas’ new daily show on ABS-CBN, Ruffa & Ai (which premieres on Monday, Feb. 16, 10:15 a.m., Ruffa insisted that she is loveless (while the divorce case between her and Yilmaz is pending).

"I have no time for love," she said. "I’m busy. Monday to Friday, I go live for Ruffa & Ai. Evenings, also Monday to Friday, I’m seen on I Love Betty La Fea and on Sundays I’m on The Buzz. I devote my free days to my daughters (Lorin and Venice) who I sometimes bring with me to the set."

Wowowee Wow's 20,000 in Dubai

More than 20,000 people reportedly flocked to the Dubai Festival City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates last January 30, 2009, to watch the popular noontime show, “Wowowee.”

“WowoWillie: Round the World…Touchdown in Dubai!” marked the beginning of Wowowee’s 2009 TFC World Tours, which is part of the 15th anniversary celebration of The Filipino Channel [TFC] & the 4th year anniversary of the Wowowee.

Present in the opening salvo were Luningning, Milagring, Mariposa, Saicy Aguila, Wowowee co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, and Pokwang and of course Willie Revillame who sang a medley of his hit singles like “Wowowee Theme Song,” “Buksan Mo Papasukin Ako,” “Umaalog-alog,” “Sayaw Darling,” “Rock ‘n’ Rollin,” and “Igiling-giling.”.

Special guests include former Dubai-based scholar of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, Liezel Garcia and international Youtube sensation Charice Pempengco.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen - Movie Trailer

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an upcoming science fiction film due for release on June 26, 2009. It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. Maegan Fox is still in the cast as Mikaela Banes, Sam’s girlfriend.

Plot: The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with than meets the eye.

Carla Abellana as ROSALINDA on GMA 7

Twenty yrs. old commercial model Carla Abellana is geared to become the next big star of GMA-7 Kapuso Channel, after they announced that she will play the title role in the Pinoy version of the sensational Mexican telenovela Rosalinda.

Carla Abellana who earlier signed a 12 movie contract with Regal Entertainment is the daughter of ’80's star Rey “PJ” Abellana. Carla Abellana is a graduate of De La Salle University with a degree in Psychology.

Rosalinda aired on ABS-CBN back in 1999 & re-runs are aired on GMA-7.

May Bukas Pa (Formerly Marcelino) - Full Trailer

May Bukas Pa [formerly Marcelino] is an upcoming primetime teleserye that will premiere on February 2 on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.

Cast includes Dina Bonnevie, Albert Martinez, Precious Lara Quigaman, Ogie Diaz, Tuesday Vargas, Tonton Gutierrez, Desiree del Valle, Dominic Ochoa, Lito Pimentel, Maja Salvador, Victor Basa, Rayver Cruz, Jaime Fabregas, Lito Pimentel and Ruben Gonzaga.

The story of May Bukas Pa will revolves around Santino (played by Zaijan Jaramilla), an orphan abandoned as a baby on the steps of a monastery in 18th-century Spain. The monks raise the child and Marcelino grows into a rowdy young boy and is able to perform miracles.

Rhian Ramos is One of Richard Gutierrez Leading Ladies in Zorro

Zorro has finally found his leading lady.

It was announced this afternoon, February 2, during Zorro's story conference that Richard Gutierrez will be paired again with La Lola star Rhian Ramos.

This will be the fourth time that Rhian will be paired up with Richard. Rhian's first TV project was Captain Barbell, which was portrayed by Richard. This was followed by Lupin and Codename: Asero, although it was really Heart Evangelista who Richard ended up with.

As for Richard's other leading lady, the identity of the young actress is still a secret. Although, according to source, the role was given to another talent of Richard's mom and manager, Annabelle [Rama].

TJ Trinidad, one of the newest talents of Richard's mother and a former Kapamilya talent, will play the main villain in Zorro.

Zorro is slated to start taping this month and will have its pilot episode in March only on GMA-7 Telebabad.

Flash Bomba is the last of the Ravelo superheroes which comprises the much anticipated Isang Lakas super team, due this 2009 on Primetime Bida.

Flash Bomba is likened to Batman, the enigmatic Dark Knight of DC Comics, for both their origins are the same. Both their past are marked by a death which gave them the drive and will to make a difference in the world. Although Flash Bomba’s origin is folkloric, a given among Asian superheroes, the journey each took to be the superhero the world expects are similar.

Comedy is a staple of the Komiks brand so expect a lot of humorous encounters and situations in which Flash Bomba will find himself in. The once thought dead pinoy superhero genre has now pulled itself out of the grave and found the strength to again fly and this time invade our TV screens. Flash Bomba will be aired in February although the exact date is yet to be announced. Looks like the men and women in tights and capes are here to stay!
