More than 20,000 people reportedly flocked to the Dubai Festival City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates last January 30, 2009, to watch the popular noontime show, “Wowowee.”“WowoWillie: Round the World…Touchdown in Dubai!” marked the beginning of Wowowee’s 2009 TFC World Tours, which is part of the 15th anniversary celebration of The Filipino Channel [TFC] & the 4th year anniversary of the Wowowee.
Present in the opening salvo were Luningning, Milagring, Mariposa, Saicy Aguila, Wowowee co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, and Pokwang and of course Willie Revillame who sang a medley of his hit singles like “Wowowee Theme Song,” “Buksan Mo Papasukin Ako,” “Umaalog-alog,” “Sayaw Darling,” “Rock ‘n’ Rollin,” and “Igiling-giling.”.
Special guests include former Dubai-based scholar of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2, Liezel Garcia and international Youtube sensation Charice Pempengco.
